Since beginning her first term of office in 2007, Karen Ford has proven the electorate right. She is a hardworking, dedicated and full-time public servant, and a thoughtful decision-maker on policies and actions that affect all of Hays County. And, as promised, she is passionate about ensuring that economic growth and environmental sustainability are not mutually exclusive, but rather dependent on one another.

In her first term, Commissioner Karen Ford has brought us parks, open spaces, new and safer roads, attention to water quality and quantity issues, the State's most comprehensive set of development regulations, an open door policy and a listening ear.
